NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES NOMINATION
The National Register of Historic Places is the nation’s official list of historic properties. Properties can be listed either individually, as part of a historic district, or as part of a multiple property documentation. In order to develop a nomination and begin the nomination process, Delta can prepare a Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission Historic Resource Survey Form and undertake building inventories as part of the eligibility process. Once a building is determined eligible, Delta’s staff can undertake archival research, prepare architectural descriptions, and prepare photographic descriptions that are required for the nomination process. As part of the nomination process, Delta will communicate with the State Historic Preservation Office staff members who review the nominations, and will attend the Pennsylvania Preservation Review Board on the property owner’s behalf.
