Disaster Preparedness Solutions Associate
Delta Development Group, Inc., a consulting firm headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, has an opportunity for an Associate to join its disaster preparedness solutions team.
The Associate will be responsible for developing, designing, and coordinating a wide range of emergency management assessments, planning, training, and exercise activities for Delta’s clients under the direction of a project manager. The Associate will conduct research of relevant Federal, State and local emergency guidance documents, statutes, policies, procedures, and best practices. The Associate assists in preparation of emergency operations plans and other projects as required by our clients. The Associate is responsible for preparation of all Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)-compliant exercise documents to include scenarios, briefings, exercise plans, player/controller/evaluator handbooks, messages, and after-action reports.
The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in emergency management, public health, or a related field. Strong written and oral communication skills, research and analytical skills, and the ability to turn ideas and concepts into plans or reports are required. The candidate should possess basic knowledge and/or experience in public health or healthcare system preparedness. Familiarity with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and U.S. Health and Human Services Preparedness Capabilities, is preferred. Completion of the Federal Emergency Management Agency Independent Study Courses IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800, as well as, completion of the HSEEP course a plus. The candidate should also be well versed in Microsoft 2010 Suite.
This is a full-time position in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Senior Associate/ Project Manager
Established consulting firm located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania has an opportunity for a Senior Associate/Project Manager to join its Disaster Preparedness Solutions Team. This position will be a member of a team of professionals, working to improve the health and safety of citizens through planning, training, exercising, and the mitigation of potential disaster incidents resulting from natural, man-made, and technological hazards.
The Senior Associate/Project Manager will be responsible for leading, developing, and implementing a variety of emergency management planning, training, and exercise initiatives for local, regional, and state clients. He/she will assist in defining the project scope, goals, deliverables, project tasks and resource requirements. The Senior Associate/Project Manager will manage the client relationship, coordinate project staff, manage the project budget, schedule project timelines, and develop and track project deliverables. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying business development and possible “add-on” contract opportunities as they relate to a project.
The Senior Associate/Project Manager will be required to understand a variety of applicable state and federal emergency management policies and documents including, but not limited to the National Response Framework; National Incident Management System; and the National Disaster Recovery Framework as well as Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention health preparedness capabilities.
The Senior Associate/Project Manager must have extensive knowledge and/or experience in project management; principles of emergency plan development; Incident Command System (ICS); Hazard Vulnerability Analysis; continuity planning; and emergency management exercise planning, execution, and evaluation. The candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills; self-initiative; organization and prioritization of work assignments, supervisory experience; and sound judgment.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with at least five years’ work experience with managing projects in an emergency management, public safety or health environment.
This position is located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania although frequent travel within the region is anticipated.
