Public Health Planning Specialist

Delta Development Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an anticipated opening in its growing Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery Solutions team.

Position Description and Qualifications: The Public Health Planning Specialist should have knowledge and/or experience in:

·        Comprehensive emergency management programs; National Response Framework, National Incident Management System

·         public health emergency planning to include but not limited to:

o   influenza pandemic

o   Strategic National Stockpile

o   medical surge

o   mass casualties

o   mass fatalities

·         risk communications;

·        public health law;

·         surveillance and epidemiology;

·         public health exercise development and execution;

o   knowledge of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) is a plus and

·         disaster behavioral health

A Master of Public Health degree is the desired qualification; however a bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to three years of experience working in a public health agency may be substituted. Strong verbal communications and writing skills are required, particularly emergency response plans. The Public Health Planning Specialist shall also possess the requisite organizational and communications skills necessary to:

·         advocate for and advance the company’s emergency management planning practice;

·         work as a member of a team;

·         interact frequently with clients;

·         facilitate meetings;

·         conduct research;

·         write and organize emergency operations plans for clients; and

·         write project proposals.

This is a full-time position in Delta’s Mechanicsburg, PA office.  Occasional overnight travel may be required.
