The third part of the preparedness cycle is conducting exercises and improvement planning. Disaster preparedness stakeholders conduct exercises to validate emergency operations plans, policies, and procedures, reinforce training, and evaluate adequacy of resources. Based on the outcomes of the exercise, stakeholders identify additional planning and training needs as well as resources. Delta works with our clients to ensure that they are compliant with the Department of Homeland Security's Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP). Using HSEEP, Delta's exercises have explored scenarios such as pandemic influenza, emergency evacuation, hazardous materials incidents, weapons of mass destruction attacks, and natural disasters.
With experience at the local, regional, state, and federal levels, Delta's HSEEP-certified trainers and exercise professionals have planned, conducted, and evaluated discussion- and operations-based exercises of varying scope and complexity and stand ready to support each client.
