Steve offers Delta Development Group’s clients over 10 years of information technology experience, including network administration and installation, wireless implementations, as well as the creation of highly available clustered network solutions. He has supported Delta’s IT role in the Pennsylvania Broadband Mapping project and the development of a strategic plan for a proposed transit operations center for the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority. Steve expertly supports Delta’s network, which consists of 11 physical servers and 15 Virtual Servers, an ISCSI SAN, a gigabit infrastructure and multiple wireless access points, as well as in-house VOIP.  He provides a wide range of support services, from basic help desk duties to advanced firewall configurations and everything in between.

 

Prior to joining the Delta team, Steve worked for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency as a network administrator focused on delivering highly available solutions for any situation.  His duties included Windows 2000 and 2003 server administration, Exchange 2003, active directory and firewall management, and general help desk support.  Additional duties included supporting printers, Office suites, Antivirus, SMS, SQL 2000, surf control, tape backup systems, wireless access point configuration, as well as inventory and documentation.  Additional experience includes Windows 2008 server, Exchange 2007, Citrix Presentation Server, VMware and Office 2007.

 

Steve helped install and configure a new satellite system rollout that included voice and data communications at over 125 locations statewide, including county Emergency Management Agency offices, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and the Pennsylvania State Police.  He also supported and maintained transportable networks in a box (i.e., Fly-Away Kits) that could be deployed to any disaster location that provided voice and data communications.  He has a wide range of experience working with multiple vendors’ hardware and software to support any situation.

In 2000, Steve successfully passed the exams to earn his Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certifications, and he has completed numerous training classes in WAN/LAN management, IP Telephony, and Wireless integration.  He is actively pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix.  He has also completed independent study courses through the Federal Emergency Management Agency and has been certified at the IS-100 and IS-200 levels.
