NANCY BESCHNancy Besch serves as Senior Project Advisor for Delta Development Group. In this role, she assists the firm in meeting the needs of the 67 counties of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the areas of planning, economic development, and information technology.
Prior to joining Delta Development Group, Nancy served as Chairman of the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners from 1996 through 2003, and as Vice Chairman from 1992 through 1996. She had previously served on the Camp Hill Borough Council from 1984 through 1991.
As Commissioner, Nancy served on the Board of the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation for 12 years, the Cumberland County Economic Development Board, and the Harrisburg Area Transportation Study Board.
Nancy was a member of the Information and Education Committee of the County Commissioners' Association of Pennsylvania and served as Chairman of the Academy for Excellence, a training program for commissioners, chief clerks, and solicitors. She served on the Economic Development Committee and the Transportation Committee of the National Association of Counties. Nancy remains active in economic and community development organizations as well as on nonprofit boards; she serves on the Modern Transit Partnership Board for the Regional Rail Initiative, the Board of the Capital Region United Way, and the Military Liaison Committee of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber. She also continues to serve as Vice Chairman for the eight-county South Central Assembly for Effective Governance and as a member of the Board of Leadership Carlisle.
A graduate of Wilson College, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Nancy chaired the Wilson College Board of Trustees and was President of the Alumnae Association. In 1997, Governor Tom Ridge honored her as a Distinguished Daughter of Pennsylvania.
