Mason McClellan offers valuable experience in public-private development, urban design, economic development, and historic preservation, with an interest in real estate design and development.  His professional background has focused on community revitalization through economic development, financial incentives, and adaptive reuse.
 

Mason provides Delta’s clients with project support in community and revitalization planning, economic development planning, research and analysis, and public grant administration.  

 

Prior to joining Delta, Mason worked for the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), the economic development agency for the City of Philadelphia.  He researched and presented on best practices for planning and redeveloping former military bases closed by the Base Realignment and Closure Act to determine recommendations for implementation at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, a 1,200-acre waterfront development.  He assisted in the management, marketing, and leasing of Navy Yard properties.  Mason also worked with PIDC's Financial Services Team and assisted in the administration of Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program. 
 
Mason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in anthropology from James Madison University and a Master of City and Regional Planning degree with a Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania.  During his time at the University of Pennsylvania, he completed a project management and planning internship with historic Bartram’s Garden, a Regional Green Infrastructure Plan for the Schuylkill watershed, and a Main Street and Neighborhood Redevelopment Plan for the town of Wayne, Pennsylvania.
