AMANDA CHILTONAmanda Chilton offers design expertise in print, electronic, and film media, using a variety of methods such as color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques. She is experienced in using QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Flash, and Captivate to create engaging visual communication products. She regularly collaborates with Delta’s senior management to understand their design needs and objectives and then develops eye-catching advertising and design for promotional events and projects. She is on the front line of Delta’s marketing campaigns, working hard to create appealing visual marketing pieces. Delta’s clients appreciate Amanda’s talent in capturing a project’s message. She recently received a note of thanks from a former member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for her work on a brochure about water/wastewater infrastructure funding.
She has received multiple Awards of Excellence from Graphic Design USA in recognition of her design work on Delta’s marketing materials. She also received a People’s Choice Award for her photograph that was submitted to the Friends of Kings Gap 2009 Fall Photo Contest.
Previously, Amanda completed both freelance design projects as well as several team-designed projects, including logo design, promotional materials, and Web site design for businesses. She put her talent to work designing logos and fundraising campaign materials for various nonprofit organizations. She also created a layout and a logo for the Pennsylvania Art Education Association’s nationally distributed journal. Along with print work, Amanda has also single-handedly designed and developed multi-page Web sites, both for her own personal portfolio as well as for the Center for Turning and Furniture Design of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in studio arts with a concentration in graphic design from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. While there, she served as co-president of the Graphic Design Student Association as well as a co-founder of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Design Center Initiative.
